This Privacy Policy explains how Leadgenusa, LLC ("Leadgenusa," "we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with the NoteRescue desktop application (the "App") and the NoteRescue website (the "Site"). NoteRescue is a product of Leadgenusa, LLC. By using the App or the Site, you agree to the practices described here.
1. The NoteRescue App
The App is designed to be private by default:
- No data collection. The App does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to us or to any third party.
- Fully offline. The App has no network functionality. It does not connect to the internet, require an account or sign-in, or include advertising, tracking, or analytics.
- Local processing only. The App reads unsaved Windows Notepad tab data that already exists on your device, shows it to you, and — only when you choose to — writes plain-text (.txt) files to a folder you select on your device. Optional actions such as closing Notepad or discarding tabs also operate solely on your local device.
- Your content stays with you. The notes and files handled by the App remain on your computer under your control at all times. They are never sent to Leadgenusa or anyone else.
2. The NoteRescue Site
When you visit the Site, our hosting provider may automatically log limited technical information as part of normal, secure operation — such as your IP address, browser and device type, referring page, and the pages you view. This information is used only to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Site. The Site does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
3. Purchases
If you purchase the App, your payment is processed by a third-party distribution or payment platform (for example, the Microsoft Store or another authorized storefront), not by the App itself. That platform collects and processes your payment and contact details under its own privacy policy. We may receive limited order information (such as your email address and purchase details) to fulfill your purchase and provide support. We do not receive or store your full payment-card details.
4. How We Use Information
We use the limited information described in Sections 2 and 3 only to: operate, secure, and improve the Site; process and fulfill purchases; respond to support and other inquiries; and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell or rent your personal information.
5. How We Share Information
We share information only with service providers that help us operate — such as our website host and payment platform — and only to the extent needed to provide their services. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transfer. We do not share your information for others' marketing.
6. Data Retention
Because the App collects no data, there is nothing for us to retain from your use of it. Any order or support records held by us or by our platforms are kept only as long as needed for those purposes and to meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

Because the App keeps your notes and saved files only on your own device, you control that data through your operating system and its security settings. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information appropriately.

NoteRescue is a general-purpose productivity tool and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information — for example, under the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). These may include the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information, and the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (note: we do not sell or share your personal information).
